Positive: I cannot recommend this place enough! I stayed here alone for two nights, and I really wish I could have stayed longer – I will definitely be back. Akbar, his family, and friends are absolutely amazing and made my stay on Komodo Island truly unforgettable. He also helped me with my travel from Labuan Bajo to Komodo Island and back, and met me at the port when I arrived. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, and also has a private terrace with an amazing view where I could enjoy my morning coffee. You get everything you need, and Akbar and his family are always there to help if there is anything at all. His wife cooked incredible food for every meal and kindly adapted everything to be vegan for me. On my last evening, they even arranged a vegan BBQ with grilled cassava, banana, and corn – I loved it. The village itself is so beautiful, and Akbar made sure I got to see the best parts of it, as well as meet many people and learn about the local village culture. I truly felt like part of the family, and I am so grateful for this experience. In addition to trekking to see the Komodo dragons, Akbar can also help arrange boat trips to other islands, such as Pink Beach and Padar – whatever you wish! I have absolutely no complaints and cannot wait to visit again. Thank you so much for this fantastic stay, Akbar! Sampai jumpa 🙏
