Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location on the river and basic but comfortable rooms. The meals were good thanks to Yanti’s cooking. Yanti also helped to organise transport back to the airport.

Negative: Osman is a rude and abrasive host. He is argumentative, loud and obnoxious. He also makes regular sexist and misogynistic comments, including references to sexual assault. This made me feel very uncomfortable. While Osman is good at spotting the wildlife on the river safaris, he manoeuvres the boat unnecessarily quickly and close to the animals, sometimes scaring them away, for which he will blame the guests for talking too loudly.

Summary: Great location but rude host
